Small, Ridable Surf

Sunday found a small West, WNW swell in the water providing around waist to chest high waves to the weekend crowd. Weather was superb with clear blue skies and above normal winter temps making it a great beach day. Zacky reported that he found a nice little sandbar at the beaches and had it to himself with one other friend. Good stuff on a Sunday morning!

NWS is forecasting some light precip for next week, and there may be a bump up in the wave action if the NPAC wave maker has enough wind speed and fetch to pump up a swell that's been brewing the last few days. A nearshore gale is forecast to drive some wind swell down coast too.

Tide cycle is swinging around again and the lows will be early. Perfect for my low tide spots and the generally much better conditions that will accompany the dawn patrol.
