South Swell in November...More
The November south swell just keeps on comin'. I paddled out a bit later hoping to avoid the higher tides and the accompanying bump. Waves were bigger overall and consistency better than yesterday. I was the only SUPer out, and the main peak at GW's was populated with shortboarders.
I took a couple bombs and got killed trying to surf the SUP like a performance longboard. But I picked up the learning curve pretty quick and got a couple more that were late, steep and long. The kind of rides that leave you lusting for more! Since I was the only SUPer out I got pics of the shortboarders. Met Rich and Ryan who were absolutely ripping the head high walls at G-dubs.
I picked up a lot of insiders and rode many through Tweeners. On my last ride through Tweeners I ended up almost back at Sarge's so I stayed there hoping for some good ones. I should have made the long paddle back to GW's as the waves were much better there. But I didn't and I had to get out to teach my class anyway.
A great (some are saying epic) late Fall south swell session. I'm going to hit it dawn patrol tomorrow prior to driving over the hill for my negs meeting.

Those waves look soooo goood, love the shots! That swell didn't hit so good all the way down here- just passed us by. The sloughs didn't work nor the beachbreak- glad you got some!
